Iveco Eurocargo 7.5t Horsebox 3 Horse, Living Sleeps 4 Solar Powered
This is Ivy, our 7.5 tonne horse lorry, stalled for three horses, new ramp and horse floor last year, new living, tack storage area and many upgrades. Just sailed through plating again, 11.5 months remaining and cheap to tax and insure.
We bought this 4 years ago and wanted it to be ultra reliable. Ivy has since had lots of work done, and “if” it might need doing in the future, it was done there and then;
Mechanicals
Full service, engine, gearbox, diff, brake and clutch fluid
New air tanks, air lines, valves, brake lines
All new brake discs, pads and calipers, hoses, sensors, LSV and master cylinders
Handbrake chambers and guards
New rear shocks, anti roll bar bushes.
Chassis rust treated and undersealed
Battery Isolator
Lots more and a lot of receipts
Living
Sleeps 4 (2 on pull out sofa, 2 above luton on new memory foam double mattress)
2 Hob Cooker with Integrated Sink
Main LED lighting, and LED mood lighting for evenings and bedtime-remote controlled
3 Way Fridge/Freezer (Gas, 240v Mains and 12v when driving)
Cold and Hot Water (Gas and Mains)
Digital LED TV and DVD Player
240v Mains Sockets (Hookup or Pure Sine Wave Inverter (Expensive but the best))
All run via separate leisure battery and solar power. We go to stay away shows for around 6 days at a time and batteries are always at 100% when we leave.
Cab radio/stereo system has also been upgraded to DAB Radio, 6” speakers, and 6x9s so it`s great on those long journeys and gets good reception in the middle of nowhere.
